Who can use the Palmetto App?
The Palmetto App is specifically for Palmetto customers and allows you to track your production and consumption data, manage your account, contact customer support, make referrals and earn rewards. Note: Consumption data is only available for customers using CURB monitoring.
Why do I need to download a new version of the Palmetto App?
The new version is replacing the old and offers new features, insights and functionality. For instructions on how to update, see FAQ “How do I update to the new Palmetto App” below.

The easiest way to tell is to open the application and see. The new sign in and dashboard screens look like this:

I am an existing customer. How do I update to the new Palmetto App?
Apple users can update the Palmetto App by going to the App Store or by selecting the update Palmetto notification on your iPhone. Android Users should uninstall the old Palmetto App from your device and download the newest version: 1. Go to the applications list on your phone and find the Palmetto App 2. Selecting uninstall 3. Then, go to the App Store (Android) and download the new Palmetto App. Your current user name and password will still work. I’m a new Palmetto customer. How do I get started?
Once your system is activated, Palmetto’s Customer Care team will send you a welcome email with detailed instructions on how to access the Palmetto App. The email will also include helpful tips to ensure that you are getting the most out of your experience. Please contact Customer Care at 855-339-1831 if you have not received an email.
I’m a new customer. How do I download the App?
What if I downloaded an older version of the App but never used it?
If you originally download an older version of the Palmetto App, you will need to update to access the newest version. See FAQ “How do I update to the new Palmetto App?” above. Customer Care should have sent you a welcome email when your system was activated. If you still have that on hand, your user name (your email is your user name) and temporary password are listed in the email. If you can’t locate your welcome email, please contact Customer Care by phone 855-339-1831 or email at [email protected]
I downloaded the App, how do I open it?
To open the App, find the Palmetto icon on your home screen and click to select. If you can’t locate the icon on your home screen, go to your Applications and open it from there.
I’ve opened the App, now what?
Enter your email address and password to login.
Will my original user name and password still work?
Yes! If you originally download an older version of the Palmetto App, you will need to update to access the newest version (see FAQ “How do I update to the new Palmetto App?” above). But, once the new version is installed, you will be able to login with your existing user name and password.
What if I forgot the email address I used to set up my account?
If you don’t know the email you used to set up your Palmetto account, please contact Customer Care by phone 855-339-1831 or email at [email protected]
What if I forgot my password or need to change/reset my password?
If you forgot or need to reset your password: 1. Click “Don’t remember your password?” from below the Sign In button on the login screen. This will take you to the Reset Your Password screen. 2. You’ll be prompted to enter your email and select “Send Email”. 3. Customer Care will then email you a Reset Password link. If you need to change your password: 1. Open the App and select the “Account” icon located in the Tray at the bottom of each screen. 2. Select “Change Password”. This will take you to the Reset Your Password screen. 3. You’ll be prompted to enter your email and select “Send Email”. 4. Customer Care will then email you a Reset Password link.
Do I have to log in every time I visit the App?
At this time, yes. Your initial login will be active for 24 hours. After that you will need to log in each time you visit the App though we are working to extend the active time. See FAQ “How do I enable touch ID on my Android or iPhone?” below to streamline the login process.
What are biometrics?
Biometrics include touchIDs and faceIDs and can function in place of a password by allowing you to authenticate your identity using a fingerprint or facial authentication. With biometrics, you can quickly unlock smartphones and tablets or open an app while maintaining strict privacy and access control.
How do I enable touch ID on my Android or iPhone?
To enable touch ID on your Android: 1. Tap the Settings icon on your Android device. 2. Select “Lock screen and security”. 3. Scroll down and tap “Screen lock type”. 4. Follow the instructions on your screen to navigate through the wizard. 5. After you set up Touch ID, your fingerprint will be added to the list of fingerprints authorized for your Android device. To enable touch ID on your iPhone: 1. Tap the Settings icon on your iOS device. 2. Scroll down and tap “Touch ID & Passcode”. 3. Tap “Add a Fingerprint”. 4. Follow the instructions on your screen to navigate through the wizard. 5. After you set up Touch ID, your fingerprint will be added to the list of fingerprints authorized for your iPhone.
How does the biometric option work with the App?
Once you enable biometrics on your smartphone, you should see a fingerprint appear on your login screen. Touch the fingerprint to open the App.
What are the features of the Palmetto App?
With the Palmetto App, you can easily monitor your solar energy production and consumption, earn money by referring friends, access customer support, schedule maintenance, and view your account details.
How does the App work?
Quickly access the App's primary features using the four icons in the "Tray" at the bottom of every screen: "Dashboard", "Referral", "Help", and "Account". 1. Click "Dashboard" to view your production and consumption data by day, week, or month. 2. Click “Referral” to generate a unique referral link that you can share with friends to earn rewards. 3. Click “Help” to quickly access support via chat, email, or phone. This is also where you can schedule maintenance and provide feedback on your Palmetto App experience. 4. Click “Account” to view and manage your account details. 5. You can also navigate through the App using back arrows (←), and by touching the screen text and icons.
What does the Dashboard tell me?
The intuitive user Dashboard is your roadmap to savings. Monitor production - how much solar energy your system is producing - vs. consumption - how much energy your household is using - by day, week or month. The chart makes it easy to see variations, track averages, and monitor the efficiency of your solar energy system. Note: Consumption data is only available for customers using CURB monitoring.
How do I view and monitor my production and consumption data?
The intuitive energy production and consumption dashboard allows you to monitor your system performance and energy consumption in Kilowatts (kWh) by day, week or month. Your Dashboard automatically displays production and consumption data for the current “DAY” when you log in. You can also view by week or month by selecting “WEEK” or “MONTH”. Daily averages are noted so you can monitor production and consumption across time. Note: Consumption data is only available for customers using CURB monitoring.
Why can’t I see consumption?
Some of the early solar energy systems are not equipped with the hardware necessary to view consumption. We are actively looking for a solution that would make this viewing possible for those systems moving forward but, for now, consumption data is only available for customers using CURB monitoring.
Why do I see an “Error Loading Data” message?
Your inverter key is likely missing. Please contact the Support team to get it added.
What factors impact my solar energy production?
Your custom solar energy solution is designed to optimize production relative to the energy needs of your household and the pitch, size and orientation of your roof. Once installed, you'll see variations in production based largely on daylight, weather and season. Clouds, shade or extreme weather can block sunlight from reaching your solar panels and result in a slight decrease in production. Energy production will be highest when direct sunlight falls on your solar panels. This can happen at different times of the day depending on the pitch and orientation of your roof. In the United States, the sun is low in the winter and high in the summer. As the angle of the sun changes relative to the angle of your solar panels, you’ll likely see seasonal variations in production.
Why is weather included in the App?
Weather can have a significant impact on production, so it's important to consider when evaluating the health of your solar energy system. For example, heavy rain may decrease production while cool days with clear skies will likely show an increase in production. While solar panels function best with direct, full sunlight, they are designed to withstand wind, snow, hail and heat, and will continue to produce power in indirect light.
How do I view the weather?
You can view weather directly from your Dashboard. Today’s weather will appear in a black box covering the chart while icons along the bottom of the chart show historic data and forecast rain, snow, clouds or partly sunny for the days ahead.
Can I view solar production in dollars instead of Kilowatts so I can compare it to my utility bill?
Not at this time. Because electricity costs vary widely based on location, utility company, and rate calculations (flat fee vs. variable rates), it is difficult to provide an accurate comparison between Kilowatt production and dollars saved. That said, we are exploring ways to accurately provide this information.
What is the “Refer a Friend” program and how can I access it?
Want to earn a little bit of money by sharing your solar experience? You can refer friends directly from the Palmetto App and easily earn $500 if they go solar with Palmetto. Get your unique referral link and track your earnings all in one place. 1. Select the “Referral” icon in the Tray at the bottom of every screen to see your unique referral link. 2. You can share your link via Email, Facebook, Twitter, or LinkedIn. 3. To share your link, select the option you’d like to use and click the “Share Post” button. To view your stats, select the “View Stats” button from the Refer a Friend screen. 1. You will be sent a verification code via email. Enter it in the box to view your stats. 2. Easily track the number of times you’ve shared your link, the status of your referrals, and how much you’ve earned. 3. For each of your referrals that go solar with Palmetto, you will receive a $500 gift card! How do I get help from customer support?
Use the Palmetto App to quickly connect with a Customer Care specialist through phone, email or live chat.Select the “Help” icon from the tray at the bottom of every screen to access the Help screen. How do I request and schedule service?
