Who can use the Palmetto App?
The Palmetto App is designed for Palmetto Solar and Palmetto Protect customers. As a new customer, you can use the Palmetto App to complete your virtual site survey, confirm project information, submit load documents, and track the status of your project. Once your system has been installed, you'll be able to track your system’s energy production as well as energy consumption (if a compatible tracking device is enabled). You can also manage your account, contact customer support, send referrals, and request service. COMING SOON! New customers will be able to track the status of their new solar system through design, installation, and activation.

What if I forgot my password or need to change/reset my password?
If you forgot your password or are unable to log in: 1. On the login screen, select the "Don’t remember your password?" link. 2. Enter your email, and select Send Email. If the email you entered matches the account on file, you will receive an email with instructions to reset your password. To change your password: 1. Open the Palmetto App, and select Account in the tray at the bottom of the screen. 2. Select Account in the list, confirm your email, and tap Reset Password.
Do I have to log in every time I visit the App?
Each login remains active for (7) days. After that time, you will be prompted to re-enter your account credentials. If your mobile device supports biometric authentication, you can enable touch or face ID to make logging in easier.
What are biometrics?
Biometrics include touch ID and face ID, which can allow you to authenticate your identity using a fingerprint or facial verification. With biometrics, you can quickly unlock a mobile device or open an app without entering a password. You can enable touch ID or face ID in the settings, usualy under Privacy on your mobile device.
What are the features of the Palmetto App?
Once you've placed an order for your solar energy system, you'll be invited to create a Palmetto App account. Within the App, you can easily complete your virtual site survey, upload information, review documents, and track the status of your order. Once your solar energy system has been installed, the Palmetto App is your go-to resource for system maintenance, monitoring, and support. View weather, track solar energy production and consumption*, request service or maintenance, send referrals, and manage your account. * Consumption data available only with consumption monitoring equipment.
How do I use the App?
Quickly access the App's primary features using the icons in the tray at the bottom of every screen. 1. Select Dashboard to view your production and consumption* data by day, week, or month. 2. Select Service to request service or maintenance. 3. Click or tap Ambassador to generate a unique referral link that you can share with friends, family, or neighbors. 4. Select Support to quickly access support via chat, email, or phone. 5. Select Account to view and manage your account details. You can also navigate through the App using back arrows (←), and by touching the screen text and icons. . Consumption tracking is available only with specific consumption monitoring equipment.
How do I view and monitor my production and consumption data?
The Dashboard is your roadmap to savings. Monitor how much solar energy your system is producing (Production) and how much energy your household is using (Consumption*) - by day, week, or month. *Consumption tracking is available only with specific consumption monitoring equipment. The chart makes it easy to see variations, track averages, and monitor the performance of your solar energy system. To show or hide Production, Consumption, Temperature, or Cloud Cover, tap the buttons below on the chart. For more details on how to read the Dashboard, select the "About this data" link below the chart and buttons.
Why is there no consumption data on my Dashboard?
Some solar energy systems are not equipped or configured to measure energy consumption. We are actively looking for more solutions to support consumption monitoring. For now, this data is only available for customers with one of the following: a) a CURB monitoring device b) a Solaredge HD-Wave inverter with RGM Monitoring enabled c) an Enphase inverter system with current transformers
Why do I see an “Error Loading Data” message?
It’s likely that we need additional information (like your inverter key) to access the performance data from your system. Please select Support to contact our Customer Experience Team for assistance.
What factors impact my solar energy production?
Your custom solar energy solution is designed to optimize production relative to the energy needs of your household and the pitch, size, and orientation of your roof. Once installed, you'll see variations in production based largely on daylight, weather, and season. Clouds, shade, or extreme weather can block sunlight from reaching your solar panels and result in a slight decrease in production. Energy production will be highest when direct sunlight falls on your solar panels. This can happen at different times of the day depending on the pitch and orientation of your roof. In the United States, the sun is low in the winter and high in the summer. As the angle of the sun changes relative to the angle of your solar panels, you’ll likely see seasonal variations in production.
Why is the weather included in the App?
Weather can have a significant impact on production, so it's important to consider when evaluating the health of your solar energy system. For example, heavy rain may decrease production while cool days with clear skies will likely show an increase in production. While solar panels function best with direct, full sunlight, they are designed to withstand wind, snow, hail, and heat, and will continue to produce power in indirect light.
Can I view solar production in dollars instead of Kilowatts so I can compare it to my utility bill?
Not at this time. Because electricity costs vary widely based on location, utility company, and rate calculations (flat fee vs. variable rates), it is difficult to provide an accurate comparison between Kilowatt production and dollars saved. That said, we are exploring ways to accurately provide this information.
What is the “Ambassador Program” and how can I access it?
Refer friends, family, and neighbors to go solar with Palmetto and earn $1,000 for every system installed. 1. Use the Ambassador screen in the Palmetto App to text your personal referral link to friends and family. 2. Track clicks, installations, and payments directly in the App. You can also view your lifetime earnings and environmental impact. 3. Earn $1,000 for every referral that goes solar with Palmetto, paid when the installation is complete. Help spread the word: Palmetto is changing the way rooftop solar is purchased and installed—making it easy for homeowners to save money and protect the environment.
