Selling your home

Sometimes life changes your plans. A new job, a new town, or even a new bundle of joy can change where you settle. When you buy into our LightReach products, we can help with these transitions. Let's discuss the steps.

When a homeowner plans to move, options for settling a LightReach Lease or PPA include either buying out your system or transferring your plan to the new homeowner. With either option, the Homeowner will need to reach out to us at Palmetto within 60 days before the sale of the home. During that call, we will gather information and help guide you on the next steps. 

Buying out the system? We will prepare and deliver a quote for you and move forward from there. You may ask, can I take my system with me?  Unfortunately due to the system being bespoke and designed for your home, we are not able to move the system to a new home, nor store them for homeowners. In the event of a buyout, the system is purchased outright, and all warranties and servicing agreements are no longer active.

Transferring your system to the new owner? The new Homeowner will need to apply for a LightReach contract which includes a credit check. Once approved and you have closed on the house, the new homeowner will have the solar system transferred to their name. Once the system is transferred to the new homeowners, they will receive all the benefits of going solar including the system warranties being automatically transferred over.
